Margo Welch

Chair of the Board

Margo Welch has a background in not-for-profit management and has held senior positions in the cultural and environmental sectors. Her interest in environmental issues was sparked while a student at Trent University and developed as a passion while working at the Royal Ontario Museum.  As the Executive Director of Toronto Botanical Garden, she was able to apply her commitment to the environment while overseeing the creation of sustainable teaching gardens and the first LEED-certified building in Ontario’s charitable sector.

Margo’s environmental interests include conservation, sustainable building, and addressing climate change.  In addition to her work with GreenPAC, Margo is a volunteer for the International Conservation Fund of Canada and the Toronto Board of Education.
